Linda Manzer began building instruments as a hobby in the late 60's and soon thereafter had the opportunity to apprentice with Jean Claude Larrivee (from 1974 to 1978). During this period they built thousands of instruments and she was able to learn all aspects of flattop construction from Jean. Linda later had the good fortune (with the help of the Canada Council) to study archtop construction with James D'Aquisto.
Today, Linda Manzer is one of the world's most respected luthiers.
