Paul McGill Paul McGill has been building guitars since he was 18 years old and has 30 years of experience in building and designing guitars. He also was a vintage guitar restorationist for Gruhn guitars for a number of years where he was able to broaden his knowledge and depth of guitar and absorb many legendary predecessor's creations. Paul has made it his focus to design and create unique instruments that stand out as orignal aesthetics in a field where tradition runs deep. His success is established in many different styles of guitar making. His Classical guitars have been a mainstay for Earl Klugh and Muriel Anderson for over 15 years, dating back to Muriel's Winfield Chapionship and Earl's "Solo Guitar" project both in 1989. His resonator guitars have been hailed by such artist as Chet Atkins (Almost Alone), Earl Klugh (Move), Steve Earl, Nato Lima (Los Indios Tabajaras legend), (Judd's producer and Nashville studio first call) Don Potter and Jim Stafford. His Super Ace Classical/Electric model has been the center piece of performance as well as recording for such major Contemporary Jazz artists as Peter White and Marc Antoine. It is also the main stage instrument for Grammy award winning performer and songwriter Beth Neilsen Chapman. It is rare to find so many musical experiences that have been so well tested and challenged in one guitarmaker, and his results push the parameters of modern guitarmaking into new directions of excellence.
